Budva

With its walled old town on the Adriatic, this is one of the oldest settlements in the region; its founding reaches back two and a half thousand years to the period of Greek colonisation. Badly damaged in the 1979 earthquake, the old town was rebuilt to its original form, and its narrow stone streets open straight onto the beaches next door.
