Everyday etiquette

Tipping is not obligatory; rounding the bill up is considered enough. In cafés you take a seat and wait to be served rather than ordering at the counter.

Tap water is drinkable. Sockets are the same type as in Türkiye, so no adapter is needed. Pharmacies are signed "apotheek".

In an emergency

Emergency call: 112One number for police, ambulance and fire. It is the same across Europe, so there is nothing to look up on arrival. English is spoken.
