Getting around

The centre is within walking distance and the old bazaar runs straight into the Austro-Hungarian streets. A tram line crosses the valley end to end; the airport is close.

Safety and going into the countryside

The city centre is very safe and crime is low. But the countryside around the city still holds uncleared minefields; you do not step off the marked path.
